Thanks Ken, so it sounds a little more advanced then what I'd be comfortable with. I'm guessing pretty much any highline audio place can do this without much issue if I provide the spelled out explanation from the OP. Thanks for the info.

It isn't that difficult, but it does require some ability to take things apart in the trunk area so the wires can be routed properly. Also, on mine, to access the wiring grommet between the area I installed the module (above nav unit) and the battery, I had to remove some other stuff. So I spent more time getting access to run wires etc. than actually making connections.

I obtained the Dectane TFLM-03 Module from Frank at Orange Tuning. I installed the DRL module today, but I am having problems. I hooked the orange wire to the positive on my parking lights and the red and black wires to the led fog lamps I want to use as DRL's using tap connectors as TT2911 described. However, When I hook the module up to my battery, the fog lights are on all of the time, even when my lights are turned off and I have the key out of the ignition.

I may have damaged the module on installation. I had positive and negative on one of my fog lamps switched. When I connected the module to the battery, it blew the inline 3 amp fuse. I switched the wires and added a new fuse, but when i connected back to the battery, the lights are on constantly.

Anyone have a similar issue? I emailed Frank to see if he thinks I damaged the unit. Fortunately, it's not too expensive to replace if I did.

Could you please post picture of the TFLM03 that you used and is needed in US markets for making the LED DRL function as a daytime running light.

Specifically pictures of installing TFLM03 module and wiring to battery, need for (2 or 3 ?) T connectors?

Thanks again!

Yes please, could you share some pics of differents connexions.
That would be very useful for me and for other people too

Sorry, but I didn't take any photos of that when I did the install, maybe some of the other members did and they can share them. I do know if you have the turn lamp out of the bumper and sitting on the floor in front of you, with the written instructions in your hand to read, the connections should be very obvious and easy to perform.

Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures either, but if you follow TT2911's instructions, the connections shouldn't be hard to figure out. The only issue I had was that some of the wire colors were different, but if you have a volt meter, you can double check to make sure you are tapping into the correct wires.

I guys,

I do not control English to perfection, this is why pics could have helped me. Thank you to both to have answered me.

Hey Petporscheman,

Can you point me to the thread that talks about using the battery maintainer and flickering DRL's w/ the Dectane module. I installed the module w/ mine and all worked fine. I then parked my car and connected maintainer and lo & behold the DRL's flickered for a short time. They finally 'quieted down' so I was just wondering what other folks might be doing w/ this issue.

Thanks!

"Using a T tap/compression splice, hook the orange wire to the white/red stripe wire on the PARK lamp socket very near the socket. Remember, you are not cutting the factory wire, you are just tapping these new wires on to them."

FYI: My 2005 997 has yellow/red stripe on the passenger side DRL. The driver side had white/red.

After Frank makes contact with you, he normally sends a Paypal Invoice, from which you then pay him via Paypal.

I have a thread installing installing this on my 996., I hooked the + wire of the auto-relay up to an ignition switch wire (instead of the battery / 12V constant) and no flickering. I just got a 997 and want to do this mod- question is, where is the easiest place to find an ignition switched wire? Couldn't find any on my 996 in the luggage area, so had to tap into the pre-wiring for the phone under center console inside the car...

Can anyone tell me if the Dectane TFLM-03 Module dims when headlights are on like the 02 module- or is it the same as the 01, but auto on from battery? Also, how do I contact Frank at Orange Tuning to order?
