If the fog lights are on different sides then I'm guessing Dectane probably just creates lights that would accommodate either way in order to save money. If that's the case then splicing probably works.

Maybe Dectane sets up thier fixtures that way but you're assuming that Porsche has fog light wiring/circuit to both sides. Someone may try it and let us know.

No because you wouldn't tap into the factory wiring. All you would need to do is run a wire from dectane to dectane wiring.

No need to cut the LEDs out. Just paint the inner ones with some black paint, or cover them with some heat shrink tubing.

If you have seen a 997.2 at night on the road, it looks pretty cool with the "C".

I'll probably get $hit for saying this, but reminds me of an Aston Martin. :X

If you want to open up the tail lights, Only way is to put the in oven at 200 deg, for 10min and wait till it un-glues itself, if not a couple of more minutes... its really simple and there is no danger if you regularly check it. Ive done it a couple of time on different bikes I had. It will take really high heat and long time in oven before it gets damaged, so as long as you pay attention, no danger of messing up anything.
Hope that helps..

btw, you shouldn't play with the wiring on LEDs lights, they usually all linked together, if you splice one all might stop working.

Sounds crazy, how about affixing a matching red reflecting sticker to hide the extra LEDs so it gives "C" look?
