New to me 997.2S cab
Hi all -
About 18 months ago, I sold my 2007 GT3 to a friend and bought a CLK 63 Black Series. Unfortunately, I never bonded with the Mercedes, and didn't really enjoy my ownership experience.
Two weeks ago, I purchased an '09 Silver over Stone Gray 997 cabriolet. I'm so happy to be back with a car that drives the way I think a car should.
It has been subtly and (I think) tastefully modified to include:
Paddle shift wheel from a GTS
GT3 front bumper
TechArt Springs
Champion Wheels
EVOMS software
Tubi exhaust
RSS front and rear control arms
Toe steer kit
I think I'm done, although I'd love a set of GT2 seats, I can't justify the price.

+2. CLK Black is a beast and track monster. I love how it's race prepped and pretty rare.

The Black Series had miserably uncomfortable, typically MBZ, flat bottomed seats. I simply could not get comfortable - I tried to import the German Recaros, but was stymied at every turn.
Secondly, and more importantly, it wasn't fun to drive. You felt all 4400 pounds going around a corner - it felt irresponsibly overpowered and squirmy in a straight line - and the automatic was always in the incorrect gear.
Lastly, it got 12 mpg while not being satisfying.

Dude...you need to dump the photo's into Photobucket and then put your link into the insert image then they'll come up nice and big. Also, don't paste just one picture. We want 3 minimum. You have to follow the unwritten rule my friend.

I know this might sound like a stupid question, but.......What do the RSS front and rear control arms + Toe steer kit do for your handling? Is this car going to be used on the track? I am a DD and have hesitated touching the suspension due to stiffening the ride in any way.
