2011 C4S Oil change DYI
After reading few posts about 20k service, decided to do this on my own. My dealer was nice enough to reset by indicator for $40. instead of charging me of the service $800. I had a filter from my previous 2010 which i bought from suncoast and oil filter removal tool. To my surprise neither will work on 2011, which means it will by up for sale if anyone needs it really ($40) for the whole set. 2011 has a much bigger filter and also to remove the filter cap you will need a 36mm socket instead of previous tool. Once I drained all the oil, and was lucky to have a porsche dealership 5 minutes from my house where i bought a correct filter the who job took me one hour. I will never take my car to the dealer for an oil change again Thanks to everyone's posts and dyi directions.

$100 isn't bad! I'd almost be inclined to take it in for that price! If you're constantly on the lookout for Mobil1 deals, you can score it cheaply. I found it for $4.99 per quart, and you really only use 8.5 quarts or so, because you can't get every last drop out of the engine. Total for my last change was $57.25. Bought the filter at Pelican. You also need to invest in an oil catcher that has a WIDE mouth - the first 6 quarts comes out in about 4 seconds

The Seattle dealer also charges for the reset, because, as they say, the need to check the car into service, and then do a once over looking for glaring issues that might need addressing. They cannot just plug up the piwis to your car in the parking lot.
Durametric allows you to clear the service interval warning and resets the value to the maximum interval for the cluster (which is 2yrs 20k miles on my 2009). You cannot set it to the correct interval, so just keep track of it in your head the old fashioned way. Still, it doesn't take too many oil changes to recover the cost of the marginally effective Durametric kit.
