I posted a thread back in 3/8/05 about being ticketed for having a temporary registration in the back window and a license plate that was in the process of transfer.

I have talked to my dealer and they contacted NJ CAR (NJ Coaliton of Automotive retailers). NJCAR said that my dealer did nothing wrong. It's not illegal to have both the temporary registration in the back window and a license plate. I knew the cop was being a big rude axxhole.

I called the Linden violation bureau and they said I can go to court. I will definitely go to court with the necessary evidences and prove that I did nothing wrong. The problem is that I have paid the fine already. Do you think the court will reimburse me the fine?

Doesn't that mean that you've essentially pled guilty to the charge? I would think you'd have a hard time getting money back from the court.

OTOH, how can you plead guilty to a crime that isn't a crime? Worth a shot.
