991 Carrera S at the LA Auto Show

I'm interested to see how the real world experience with the new sunroof plays out. It seems that such a large piece opening so high off the roof-line would cause some issues in the real world with weather, wind, etc. Not to mention the mechanicals moving it. I guess they are re-using some of the Targa components to move the piece.

funny, it's the opposite for me. i was liking it from the original (and spy) shots, but the more i look now, the more i dont like - length, front fogs/rear tail lights, pimped out huge 20" wheels...all "ugh".
no doubt it is one bada** machine but looks go a long way for me. in any event, like always i am reserving final judgement for when i see the thing in person and up close.

The rear quarter panel and tail light looks like an old woman with her underpants pulled up to high. Maybe it's envy because I can't afford to, but I am not tradeing my Targa up any time soon. Agree on the 20 inch tires also. Still cant wait to see one up close.

I want one too. I'd like to keep my 997 though. I took a pic with me next to the car. I took next to the rear lights. My wife couldn't tell the difference between my car and the 991 from the front.

She would figure out the interior! Its a lot different. IF not, then buy one know, since she is your Fiancee and you can still get away with doing so!
