Water Pump
Hello,
My water pump in my 05 C2S Cab is leaking and my indy shop is telling me it's a 4 hour fix. Is that high? Also, they said the original was plastic or had some plastic parts and the new ones are steel.
Also, is this a common issue? Car has 25K.
Thanks!

Do a search on this site, there is at least one post that talks about this topic.
What I have seen is around $240.00 for new pump and $400.00 or so for labor. A friend had the water pump on his 2003 911 replaced and it was in the $900.00 dollar range, which may have included towing, not sure.
I read something about plastic lines but nothing about the pump being plastic.
