GT3 Exhaust into Carrera
Sorry to bother, but Im sort of a new comer. I just had a question on the exhaust pipes. Is it possible if the GT3 middle exhaust pipes could fit into any of the Carreras? I try to look underneath, but can't really understand.
Can anyone help?

yes of course the bumper has to be changed, but is the exterior engine different? some after market pipes said just to fit certain models, but isn't it all the same basic concept of all engines?

What year?? What model?? Are you trying to "reuse" a GT3 specific exhaust on a base Carrera?? Different exhaust pipe size on the 3.6 L engine. Not sure about the 3.8L DFI on the 997.2. I always assumed that people who did the conversion were spending enough money that they ordered the GT3 style center out exhaust for their specific car.

I was looking into Akrapovic and Tubi exhausts, then I saw the GT3 Akrapovic looks pretty nice, and its unique because its in the middle, but I have a 2009 Carrera 4s, Im going to switch the bumpers as well. The thing is that the GT exhausts said it only fits gt3s, thats why Im asking if there is a way that Carrera can put a middle exhaust, any way, take the whole the out, or redirect the pips and I can put slip ons. THANKS!

I don't want to jump on anyone's parade, but these modifications are high dollar, cosmetic changes that don't really provide any meaningful additional power increases. Aftermarket headers, catalytic converters and mufflers are good for perhaps 20 RWHP for a normally aspirated Carrera. Adding on the GT3 bodywork and center exhaust system changes is only for looks and will probably double the total cost. Don't hesitate, the aftermarket needs our support.

Just for the Cargraphic exhaust parts to make the exhaust at the cent cost exactly how much?

Fabspeed and GMG both offer center exit exhausts for non-GT cars as well. IIRC, Fabspeed requires the use of their mufflers and cats with their conversion, and the GMG conversion is a complete system as well, including headers. Pricey, but nice.

Bobodrink, we developed a GT3 center outlet solution about two years ago for the 997 Carrera/Carrera S. In order to install this conversion kit, you will need to purchase a set of aftermarket mufflers and our 200 cell Sportcat X-Pipe. You can utilize the stock manifolds with this kit and also a stock 996 Carrera muffler if you did not want a sound increase. This is a direct bolt-on application, with no cutting or welding required. Large 4.0" tips will clamp onto the Maxflo or OEM 996 muffler and include a bracket to secure the position. Here is a picture of the 997 GT3 Conversion kit.
Just the 4.0" tip outlets are $1,395, but you must already have the Maxflo Mufflers/996 OEM Mufflers and the Fabspeed 200 cell Sportcat X-Pipe. If you need these components, we have a package available for $3,895.
