Dectane Tail Light Condensation
Help, I love the Dectane's I installed this week but i'm getting really bad condensation. What can I do? I bought from Fish SS who a lot of people have bought from on here. Do i need a replacement set?

I am having some condensation as well. The stock lights have 2 rubber vent tubes and I was going to move them over but I cannot see any vents on the Dectanes. Not sure what to do. Maybe remove one of the sockets and use a hair dryer to heat up the inside & dry it out.

The stock rubber piece allows for ventilation to decrease humidity within the housing. However, I think you would still have the problem with condensation due to the lower wattage of the LEDs vs incandescent light bulbs, needed to heat up the air within the housing and venting it out. Where you live is also a factor in the risk of condensation, IMO.

I talked to the guy i bought them from. He said you definitely have to install the rubber piece. Instead of using a heat gun, he suggested putting them in the oven on low to dry them out. Any problem with doing that?

I don't remember seeing vents to mount rubber piece. post a picture of inside of dectane if you manage to find it and mount them.
