Difference between 2009 and 2011

Looking at buying either a 2009 and a 2011 997. Can anyone tell me the differences? I was unable to really find anything other than the PCM had an upgrade. And I couldn't really find what the upgrade really entailed.
Thanks
M

Sorry about typo is subject line. Should be 2009 not 2001. Darn iPhone

Your topic states 2001 to 2011. That is quite a lot of changes.

For the 2009 to 2011 you'd be hard pressed to see any changes with them side by side if at all. I'm not aware of any major changes. Porsche makes small changes in all model years. However, they are not all visible. Some say that the 2009, first year for direct injection, uses more oil than the 10 and 11.

No difference. Make sure it has a new HPFP. They did a "recall "

had a 2009 c2 and traded in for a 2011 c4. i haven't noticed a differnece with PCM, but only minor updates in Nav such as Aerial View and updated POIs most likely from the updated maps. 2009+ use HD for nav.

Do you find that your new car is much different from the old beside the AWD?

other than AWD (noticeably different 'feel'), the electronics are the same, save what i mentioned above with the Nav...

per edmunds:
http://www.edmunds.com/porsche/911/2011/#fullreview

Also for 2011, the 911 Carrera, Targa and Turbo models offer Bluetooth and an iPod/USB audio interface as standard. New option packages available on the more mainstream models provide some cost savings.

and you can read about the 2010 full review which really doesn't show much difference from 2009

There were some options on 2010 on that became standard - like BT, I believe. I think all the rest is the same. PCM got upgraded with MY 2009 on to PCM 3.
