Squealing sound after the car is washed.
Hi
on the Turbo thread someone has posted that his engine compartment is soaked after he washes his car. He also mentioned that his car squeals for about 30 seconds and then this goes away. Does anyone else have this problem and can someone help trouble shoot this??

Most likely it's the serpentine belt that 'squeals'.
The more interesting question is why does his motor compartment get that wet just washing the car? He most be using some high pressure hose that's forcing water into it.

Agreed with above responses. This happens to me too after a wash. I just wipe down the engine compartment afterward, paying particular attention to the serpentine belt. If it's wiped dry, I don't get the squealing sound upon firing up the car.
