I agree, my other car is silver and it looks clean all the time until you walk up really close to it. My black 911 is only clean for a short period of time.

I like the look of a black Porsche but prefer GT Silver. Just added on the black stone guards for that retro look. The clear ones were getting discolored.

Agreed! I love these wheels, but what a pain! I take mine off the car at least once a year and clean them thoroughly. If you keep the brake dust off the insides of the rims and get some good wax/wheel sealant on there, they don't buildup as much of that sticky black brake dust in between washes, and they come clean very easily. A good wheel brush works as well.

Because I washed out my bucket before I washed my car.

Notice there is no water on the driveway around my car. I snapped the picture pre-wash because I was amazed how good it still looked even though I had not washed it since I bought it a month ago.

Thank goodness I listned to my wife and got Arctic Silver, in Houston it just rains to much to have a color that showes dirt.

As for the rims...You guys are SOOO right. I like the look of the Sport Classic but what a pain in the **** to wash! I just got some Wheel Wax delivered yesterday which I will put on tonight. Hopefully that will help retard grime. It is the "ONE" thing I would of done differently about my car. I would of got 19" 5 spoke Carrera Classic rims vs the sport, but these came with my car.

Btw, I am looking for the Carrera Classic rims in case someone has a good deal on them. They obviously would have to fit my car. The dealer wants a lot of money for them. Too much.

Btw if anyone knows of a very lightly used or new set of 19" Carrera Classic rims for sale that would fit an 09 C4S I would be interested.

I have always had black cars but recently just bought a silver E63. It is slowly growing on me especially during these harsh MN winters. It also helps to have a monthly membership at a car wash so I can take both cars cleaned/detailed anytime,,,,,

I've never heard of a monthly membership at a car wash?

Here you can get season passes at touchless washes, one wash a day.

Black is too much trouble for me. Silver is less, but I like the red.

I love the way Atlas Gray holds up between washes. So much easier than black.

Black all the way. Who cares how much work it is - when its clean (and you all brag about how much you love working on/cleaning your cars) its the only colour with real depth and pop. Silver, meh. Been there and no matter what you do to it, it cant compete with black. You choose a colour based on how good it looks when its dirty??
