Aftermarket Warranty Options- Easycare, Fidelity, Etc..

The factory warranty cannot be extended. Sometimes, a dealer might consider buying your car and reselling it back to you as a CPO car with CPO warranties. Some dealers will not do it and the cost of the tranaction is fairly high.
Usually, the solution is an extended warranty. If you buy it while the factory warranty is in effect, the price for the warranty is better. And you have a greater selection of warranty companies to choose from.

My understanding is that Fidelity will insure cars out of warranty too. Just the cost for the policy is greater than if it is under a Factory Warranty, either original or CPO.
My suggestion is to contact Fidelity Warranty Services. Ask the representative to provide you the names of 5 dealerships in your area (can be any brand) and shop the policy cost. I recommend the Platinum (exclusionary) policy as the coverage is the most complete.
