Go with a Porsche approved oil in 5 W 40 weight. LN Engineering strongly suggests the heavier weight oil to protect the IMS bearing. They also suggest more frequent changes. Worth it to go to their site and do some reading.

"Best" will be an opinion - use what's recommended Mobil 1 0W-40. Manual tells you how many quarts to buy - 9 should do it.

LN engineering recommending 5w40. Can you guide me what are the advantages of 5w40 over 0w40?

The 5W40 oil may be better for the M97 engine, but may not be ideal of the 9A1 engine.
The M97 engine may benefit from a 5W re the IMS, but one also needs to consider the very thin Variocam channels. Since the 9A1 engine has no IMS issues, I think a 0W engine may be preferable.
In any case, if one is interested in 5W40, choose well... the more easily available M1 5W40 ESP is not an API SL engine and has 20% less P and Zn. See Mobil oils chart HERE.

So why is it you want to use 5W-40?

He doesn't have IMS issues, the M97 may have "potential" IMS issues - I'm sounding like a troll, sorry.
