Less than half the cost of a ZR-1's brakes. The average driver doesn't need this until well over 30k miles. I get my rotors for $800/pr, pads $600 for both axles (my pads go twice as fast as my rotors). That's not exactly breaking the bank.

But brakes aren't used a lot in these common street races...

Rotor is infamous around these parts
Last week I had some "little boy" cut me off in his I250 while driving like a punk. He almost hit me and really pissed me off. My initial reaction was to smoke him, but the rational adult in me kicked in immediately and I just continued my drive home unscathed. There are some real jack@$$es on the road and I try really hard to not be included in that club.

Yes. I'm at that point where I need to just ignore those things too...even though I still do it...I really need to not worry about those that want to prove a point...getting home alive is THE most important thing.

Anyone ever consider following one of those punks and letting their parents know how their son drives. Happened to one of my friends while in high school. The informer mentioned he had lost a friend hot rodding and was giving experienced advice. As a kid I thought he was a d-bag, but it made me more aware about not driving crazy , someone might tell my parents. As an adult with 2 daughters, I now think he was a wise and caring person.

I agree, to a point. These days, you take your life into your own hands when you do something like this, not knowing the intentions/capabilities of the other driver. BUT - it takes very little effort to jot down the plate, and act on that information.

I use to run around with a Go-Pro (because of track days), and when people did funny stuff, I just reached over and hit the record button.

Unless if you climb a hill and back...as i used to do with my mx5. Needed pads every month, plus brakes had almost given up, at half way...
