CPO Warranty ending question

Hi,
My CPO warranty is going to expire in March and was wondering if I can take the car in for full checkup before it expires and have them fix anything which might need to be replace in near future. My car has 34k miles on it and wanted to see if dealer would say yes or no.
I would like to hear your experience regarding this and see what you would recommend them paying closer attention to when the car in up on the lift.
Thanks

I took my car in to the dealer one week before the factory warranty was to expire. They found that the RMS was leaking so they replaced it under warranty right before I purchased Easy Care. Since your car has relatively low miles for being an '06 I would recommend they check your RMS out which I think they pretty much do at every service interval.

^^ thanks for the tip, did you just call dealer up and ask to bring the car in for check up or did you tell them that your warranty is about to expire and you wanted to to run full check-up?

My CPO expired 2 weeks ago and 1 week before that, had my dealer do a thorough review of the car. Interestingly, they found my RMS leaking as well which was replaced under warranty. They also waived the inspection fee (around $175) in the process so all the work was free.

Make an appointment with your dealer and just be up front about having your car inspected prior to experation of your warranty.

I did the same thing, brought my car in a couple of weeks before the warranty expired last August and had them fix everything including any rattles. Also purchased a 5 year EasyCare warranty for piece of mind.

I think we sometimes forget that dealers like to have warranty work, because it is all profitable work for them. So they have an incentive to find work that will be covered by a warranty.
I need to make an appointment, as my CPO expires in a month or so, and I don't think I want to pay the price for a third party extended warranty.

Thanks for this thread! My CPO is almost up. The local dealership will do a once over on the car if I do a service with them. It's due for an oil change anyway so I figure the money I don't save on the DIY oil change I make up for in not having an inspection fee to pay.

What did that five year extended warranty cost, if I might ask?

The local Porsche dealer here gives free quarterly inspections, they do this so they can find warranty work they can bill Porsche. Not sure if they offer the same free inspection there.
