Hi guys,
please share your experiences.Iam deciding to order DRL on my 2007 carrera.Back lights I bought from Dectane.
The only one "original look" front DRL are Rottec drl, but I found the same looking lights on ebay and a bit cheaper with faster shipping possibility.
The question is...do they work and look the same?

as far as i know they both are same. the rottec source their tails & fogs from taiwan/china believe.

BTW, they are not DRL's. you need to add the DRL module to make them function as DRL. otherwise they work like your ccurrent Fog lights(only difference is they are LED).

 

I dont understand why these are so expensive. They are probably about $20 per unit to buy from China / Taiwan if you bought a couple of hundred units. The mark up on these is massive. I could understand a $200 price tag, but north of $500 is ridiculous IMO.

I bought my dectanes(depo) on ebay from taiwan, they are very nice, no issues so far. dont know about the fron LED fogs.

 

ditto, ++++1, 200-300 is reasonable for these.

 

Warranty from ROTtec should give you a piece of mind and is worth a few extra pennies. I too agree that the units are overpriced, but they do look very good and until more show up do not expect the price for these things to be any lower. These are still a bargain considering the thousands that other companies were charging just last year for LED DRL conversions.

 

Just to liven up the discussion, does anybody know anything about these. Got an email this morning saying just released..... items top of the page.

How about the Speedart version??? Must be made in Taiwan as well and they are charging $1200 for them.

 

There are couple shops selling the same DRL units in different country. Price will be similar since we all bought units from same manufacture from Taiwan. Factory know this is a hot item and they know the market price for this plug and play unit compare with OEM conversion.

I've listed the benefit to buy from us instead from ebay or other shops;
1, we provide 1 year replacement warranty.
2, we provide plug in type resistors in case your 997 need to turn off error code.
3, we will included install manual with the package.
4, we can package DRL with LED tail lights, LED exterior and interior bulbs specialty for 997 as package deals. (DRL module in process, will be ready for market shortly).
5, we had sold close to 200 units in last 3 months and I can say we have the most experience with this unit.
