Need a good mechanic in Seattle area
Not for my own C2S and not even for a Porsche or one of our usual suspects like BMW or Mercedes. A good friend has a son living in Seattle. A graduate student I think. He just managed to blow a head gasket on his (do we have a whisper symbol?) on his Volvo. She is asking for advice. Actually, she's a pretty famous lady that many of you would know by name, but I forgot to ask permission to use her name. In any case, she's a very nice person and I'd really like to help her with this.
It sounds like a manageable problem, much more easily dealt with than our flat sixes I would suppose. I'd certainly be a lot more willing to pull the heads on an old boat-anchor Volvo engine than a Porsche. But the trick is to get him to a reliable mechanic.
Anyone know good or bad things about Bob Byers Ravenna Volvo? They diagnosed the blown head gasket and the cause. Or does anyone have a favorite independent shop in the Seattle area that can handle cars in the "other European" category?

on the east side in Bellevue/Redmond there is http://www.autohausvick.com/
but that means a quick drive along WA-520 over the toll-bridge.
