USB/iPod/Aux install for 997.2 (PCM 3) - Any DIY's?

I ordered the factory upgrade kit to install the USB/iPod/Aux in my "new" 997.2 and am considering tackling the install myself. I know I need to have the dealer update the PCM after the install but if I can do it in a few hours and save $200 I will.

Does anyone know of a DIY article or anything that can help?

If I can't find anything I'll just have the dealer do it.

Thanks.

Looks like that manual is for the 997.1. The center console is probably the same (or close enough) but then I also need how to access the radio, etc.

Maybe the stealership is the way to go after all...

Great link! I bet they're close enough.

I just emailed suncoast (where I bought the kit) and asked for some additional info. I'll wait for them to respond and see what they say. From what I've seen this doesn't look all that tough to do myself. I'll update this post when I get more info from suncoast. I'll definitely do the DIY and take lots of pics if I end up doing it.

I know it is an old post, but did you manage to install the USB/iPod connector by yourself?
You promised to make a DIY

Do you have the install guide? (or anyone else reading)
