C4S cab vs GTS cab?
Hi all - I'm in the market for 6speed 997.2 cab. It will be a 2nd car (not daily driver).
I've found a C4S and a GTS cab in the color combo I'm looking for.
The C4S is similarly optioned as the GTS (full leather, etc).
I haven't begun negotiating but the C4S is only about 5k cheaper than the GTS. Assuming the price difference is negligible what are your thoughts of a GTS vs a C4S. A no brainer to go with GTS?
I live in Florida so AWD is not necessary.
Another silly question - I hate the "Carrera GTS" writing on the side of the 911. Is there a simple way to get rid of that?

Both are great... The GTS has some good options that come standard with the main one being the X51 engine package. Many people prefer the feel of the 2wd and say the lighter front end feel is more classic 911, but that's a personal choice. Drive both and see what you think. I'm baised, but I would say its a no brianer...go for the GTS, I love mine!

Does the gts have the wider back end like the 4S?
Also, the 4S is not just good for snow. If you live in torrential downpours like we get in Houston, and you get caught in one you will be glad to have the AWD. Having said that I like the way my 4S handles better then the standard 2wd 911's I've driven. It sticks so incredibly well in the turns it will make you feel like a superhero. I agree though, drive both and look at both. Then go with your heart and don't look back

GTS all the way . . . . . More ponies and big hips.
ps. The side script is simply a vinyl overlay. A heat gun/hair dryer and cleaner will remove it and any leftover adhesive residue.

And the dealer is probably willing and able to do it at no cost.

I vote the the 4s. Living in Florida means that you will be driving thru some heavy downpours for 6 months out of the year. I also like the more planted feeling of the 4 thru the corners. JMO.

Here you go:
The C4S Cab is listed at 99k with Turbo II wheels, full leather, 3600 miles:
The GTS Cab is listed at 105k, 9500 miles:
I actually like the Turbo II wheels better than the RS Spyder wheels on the GTS. If the GTS wheels where silver I'd like them more.
I would want to do the exhaust on the C4S - I haven't heard the exhaust on the GTS but assume it's better than standard.
So it's a bit of a wash (pay for the exhaust on C4S vs pay for wheels on the GTS).
Let me know what you all think. What do you think I can reasonably negotiate these prices to?

Nice pic's! Well it's a tough call. For me it would come down to the individual options in the car. Wheels can be changed but things like PDK etc can't. I will say this, they both look great in white. I bought my c4s with 5700 miles on it CPO and appreciated the low miles. Not to say 9k is a lot but it is more then double what the c4s has on it. For someone like me that drives about 5k a year that would make a difference. Having said that the extra HP on the GTS is very nice. Go through the options 1 by 1 and make sure one isn't missing something you simply could not live without.
If it helps, I paid $85k even for my 09 C4S with the options listed in my sig and as I said 5700 miles. It had a retail price new of $124,999. My car though was punched the last few days of 09 so warranty wise it's like a 2010. How much warranty each has would also be a big concern for me.
Either way you will love it.
