when engaging the sport chrono susp
#2
I don t have the sport chrono but I have the PASM (I think) that tightens up the suspension and supposedly lower the car .39 inch... I have the same question. Sitting still will the car be lower? Doesn t appear so... My Mercedes would drop an inch at speeds over 90+.

I don't find anything in the online manual about PASM dropping the height. Also, PASM cars seem to start out about .3in higher than the sports chassis.

I read the PASM chassis is standard on the S and an option on a standard 911.(At least in the 2005 info I found) The pasm chassis is 0.39 lower than the standard. Don t known what changed since 2005???

There are two types of PASM suspension regular PASM and Sport PASM (aka SPASM).
Both have a "regular" setting and a "sport" setting. The sport setting is stiffer than the regular one. PASM is always working, but the buttons adjust the relative damping of the shocks.
A car with SPASM sits 20 mm lower on its suspension and is a bit stiffer than one with conventional PASM. Neither system lowers the car when the sport setting is activated. The ride height remains the same in either setting, but a SPASM car will be lower (all the time) than a PASM car.
By contrast, in a Cayenne or Panamera equipped with the air suspension option, the suspension will actually raise or lower the car depending on its setting and speed. But that's the result of the air system, not the PASM.
