powder coating brake calipers
#16
i would recomment taking them to a body shop/with the pads removed and have them painted speed yellow with the black porsche logo. then clear coated. i have heard that you should not use a heat treated process (powder coating) unless the calipers are completley dissassembled and then rebuilt. expensive and even then it sounds like painting is the perfered method of changing color, painting that is not necessary to completely dissassemble . if you live around seattle you can get them done at queen city auto rebuild for about $400. if you want the yellow calipers of the pccb you can order them from sunset porsche and get the steel rotors of a 997 turbo and they are affordable. you would just not have the ceramic rotors. talk to luke and he would know what you need. if you go the repaint route you can get the porsche logo on ebay under decals porsche 997 or maybe other sources on the internet.

Upgrade to the bigger yellow calipers and turbo steel rotors. You wouldn't get any performance gains on the 'street' however. Bigger is better
OK, I see the owner of the car previous painted the red 'S' calipers black. Yellow paint should work fine and you can certainly find a DIY thread on this forum. Even the Porsche big reds have been known to turn colors under extreme track conditions. Good luck.

I have a set of Calipers that came from my 997C2S sitting in my garage, they are in need of a rebuild and repaint, was going to refinish them myself, but I don't have time. Anyone interested, send me a PM.
