are those lights the same as the one from Rotec and Orange tuning ...or not ..

they look darker from the inside ( smoked ) ... ?

They look the same. I just ordered them from FVD. I'll post some pics when I get them. Cheaper than ebay, shipped from USA with reasonable shipping cost, and accepts paypal with no fee gets my business...

To confirm one more time, (sorry)
1) You got DRLs with built-in resistors, so you won't get error codes. Check.
2) You got TFLM-03 module (please confirm) to give true DRL functionality instead of the $2 hack that shorts the fog lights and home lights.
3) for $530 including shipping. Sweet.
4) You still have wire the TFLM-0X module for DRL functionality. They are not built-in. Correct?

I read the post for $2 DRL hack... as I understand it works without side effects?

Does this DRL from FVD require any hack to have the true DRL?

Yes it will.. true DRL function without the main headlight being on(like 997.2) requires changes to the car's wiring/electrical system with a hack or module.

If you read Utkinpol's $2 Hack thread, there have been no issues with his hack, as confirmed by volt meter checks.

None of the DRL's have the module. What they have are resistors to prevent the on dash error msg. The Rottec ones have resistors that you can add in-line to the DRL wiring if you encounter the error msg. Dectane ones from Orange Tuning already have the resistors built in, IIRC.

The Module is required to get the LED fogs to function like DRL on the 997.2. IMO, you can go either route (ie: Dectane Module or Utkinpol's Hack) w/o much worries. I personally have the Dectane one.

Cool... I was going to give a Frank @ Orange a buzz to see if he has them in stock. I can't remember which ones he sells..Dectanes or Rottec. I think the primary difference between Dectanes and Rottec is that Rottec looks more OEM

I'm still researching which is better quality... Dectanes vs Rottec

I found these on Ebay...thoughts?

Frank @ Orange Tuning sells the "Dectane" ones and Ray @ Rottec sells the "Rottec" ones.

I just got a set of Depo's from eBay....plug them in..tested and the passenger side runnings lights failed. After a few emails to the seller..no response back to fix. I'm going to challenge on Monday and get a refund. Very disappointed with the horrible service. I will stick with my original LED's I got also on eBay.

I will say the Depo's do look more OEM....but not if they don't work!!

Sorry to hear about your DRL issues.

I hope prospective DRL LED buyers read your postings and buy either from Frank (Dectane) or Ray (Rottec). Those guys have shown to stand behind their sales when things go south. Buying from an eBay seller can be problematic when things go wrong.

I hope you sort your problems out to your satisfaction.

To be fair....I did get a response on Monday. Now I'm waiting to find out how supplier will handle. I removed the lights and put my other LED's in that I was trying to replace.

I offered to send them back to evaluate so we will see what happens. The Depo lights look better than the ones I have now....but I would be willing to stay with them if I don't get this resolved.

Upper row would be your turn signal's...you wouldn't want them lit up!
