Here is my Slate Gray 997. It does show a little bit of brown, especially at sunset. I find a slight blue hue to it during the day.

Hard to say for sure from the photos, but it looks more like Slate than Meteor to me. I had two Meteor Gray 997S, and they did not look as dark as the car in the photos.

I'm kind of disappointed though...
I think i prefer Meteor to Slate.
I don't know but from the pictures Slate just look very boring , no pop whatsoever...
Please someone convince me otherwise cause the deal on that Slate is very sweet!

You gotta get the Slate...I like both colors but I think the Slate is something special! I always liked that color and it's more rare than Meteor and it's an old school porsche color....goes way back....not as far back as me but way back!

I may be wrong but I think Steve McQueen's personal 911 was Slate Grey!

Good Luck!

My previous 911 was Meteor Grey and I have to admit it was kind of drab on a grey dull day. I prefer Slat. But on a sunny bright day, Meteor looked great and had a lot of 'pop'. This photo was taken in the winter with my winter wheels but it's about the only time I really 'loved' the color.

thats a tough question to ask regarding color....you have to go with your gut and what you like best... both are great colors.. me personally, i love the grays .... my last boxster and now 997S have both been meteor gray..
looks sleek, sophisticated and sharp! I also love the slate...but i'm not keen on the 'brownish' hue in it....

if you don't 'love it' then wait and look for what you want...its worth the wait when you get it....

Unfortunately the car was sold!
I was going to jump on it but someone walked in and grabbed it before i had a chance to leave a deposit...
So the search begins again!
