Hey guys simple question...when you guys enable "day time lights" in the instrument cluster on your 997.2 which lights turn on? I presume it's the LED bumper lights but is it just the 1 LED or the brighter/fog light 6 LEDs in the same unit?

The reason i ask is my day time light enables my headlights as well as the 1 LED bumper light and was going to take it back to the dealer to adjust that setting and wanted to get it "right"

Is it possible to get all the electrical settings reset to factory spec with a Porsche service computer?

 

On mine, it's the LED bumper lights - never the headlights.

I think it's the 1 LED setting for DRL. When you have Home lighting activated they light up in fog mode after you press the key fob.

 

Yea I know what you mean because when I have the car in home mode and press unlock at night the fog LEDs turn on (the brighter setting) and from the pictures ive seen online, it seemed like this was the setting for the DRLs as well aka the fog light mode being the DRL and not the dim 1 LED setting as seen in the pics linked below

Ther is no 'fog' lights or fog mode on the 997.2 non-turbos.

Its just LED DRLs, the DRLs should be the brighter ones (headlights off) and when the headlights come on the DRLs may shift to the very low power LEDs.

The parking lamp mode (car off and turn signal stalk in a turn position with key out) may or may not use those LED's too (I'd have to check).
