I have a 30gb iPod classic 5th gen that was doing some quirky things on my 997.2 Like stopped responding so had to unplug.
Solution? Got an iPod dock extension cable off of Amazon and just plug in my iPhone 4S. Benefit is it charges and plays music via the dock connector, and is faster, and doesn't hang up like the old iPod.

For some reason my iPod (30GB Classic - old) is locking up after a while of playing through the car. I have it connected via the Y cable from Suncoast parts (both the USB and star port cable).
I am forced to reboot the iPod to fix the problem. Any idea what's going on with it?
On another note, I love that the Porsche emblem shows up on my iPod when its connected. Very cool!

Didn't work for me. Did several restores and still had issues. iPod works fine outside the car. Weird.
