Porsche Sports Exhaust - Upgrade

I'm considering upgrading my 09 997.2-sports chrono with the PSE option. I know there are other options out there but I want to keep the mod Porsche Approved. Has anyone had this installed by a Porsche dealer after the car was purchased? What was the cost and how do you like the sound from compared?

Thanks,
Scott

I have pse on my GTS and it's pretty disappointing, honestly. I had a Fabspeed system on my old 993 and it sounded amazing. The stock pse system isn't worth the $ imo.

I have PSE on my car and absolutely love it. First thing I do when I start the car is to press the Sport button!

This is exactly why you should not waste your money and get the Gundo Hack!

I still have 3 years warranty on the car so the Gundo Hack makes me a little nervous.

It won't void your warranty

Phase 1 is equivalent to the MKI, phase 2 to the MKII

Personally considering aftermarket, perhaps FabSpeed MaxFlow and X-Pipe.

i would pass on buying the pse and find an aftermarket alternative. the sound will be better and you will save on weight. i bought mine with pse added awe cats, headers, evo filter and i still think a borla sounds nicer. the only super cool thing is my wireless remote that controls the baffles. when i show people it blows them away.

I have a .2 CS. There was no feedback from anyone doing the "hack" on a .2 car. I had my dealer install factory PSE. They matched the Suncoast price and gave me a pretty good deal on the instal. The sound is very good and I like the on/off switch, plus it is Porsche equipment. Like someone else said, first thing I do on startup is turn on the PSE and sport button. Makes the PDK really good!

If you have a 997.2 with PSE you need to consider adding the Sharkwerks center muffler bypass. I had a Tubi exhaust on my 09 C2S and liked it. My GTS came with PSE and I was not impressed with the sound. I recently added the Sharkwerks center bypass and the sound is impressive. Should the need arise it is easily converted back to stock.

I was just looking at the Sharkwerks website and it claims 12HP and 14TQ increase with the Center Muffler bypass. Could you tell a difference in power too?
