Just bought a used techart I spoiler for my cabriolet.

It coming off a car so I know the adhesive tap is no good anymore so I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of a good tape to use.

I have used the grey (red covered) 3M tape but I don't think it will work for this application because the tape is a little too thick.

Any recommendations or installation tips appreciated. I tried to contact techart to get a mounting template and tape but they wont sell them separately.

 

The tape you mentioned is what the shop used to put the lip on my aero kit spoiler.

 

I did a few searches on the web and that's what I see everyone is using.

I have some in the garage but thought there might be something a little thiner. The wing bolts on too so it really shouldn't be an issue.

 

If you do a search on EBay, there are 3M double-sided red tapes that are thinner in thickness. You can use those.
