2009 C2S midnight blue/Natural Brown, 44k miles, nav, Bose, Bluetooth, Power seats, no accidents, 1 owner. Price with cop just above 60K

Is that actually out of line??

Mileage is slightly higher IMO for that price point. I know there's a big difference between 60 and 75, but I was actually offered (when I was still looking) an 09 midnight blue/natural brown 09 C4S CPO with 20k miles and a msrp of $110k....for $77k and others for lower $70s with less than half the miles you're looking at.

That being said it comes down to is it worth an extra 10-12k for half the miles (whatever that may be worth $ wise) and CPO (min value of $2-3k)

Lost another one! I was in the middle of email negotiating over the weekend when an actual dealer came in and bought the car I was working on, probably on Sunday when my sales guy took the day off.

Oh well, I noticed that there are a bunch of new listings for 997.2 C2S cars out there today at Porsche dealers. None are my color match but what I find interesting is that the average prices of the new listings are around $68k with CPO and lower than 30k miles. This is a good sign.

For anyone interested, Braman Porsche in West Palm Beach FL has listed one of the 997.2 C2S Launch Cars (Green/Tan) with 19k miles for $55k. Smoking deal depending on the history (isn't listed yet).

I am still working on a few dealers but they are sticking to their prices listed even though they are 15% over the market value. Maybe one will figure it out that the market may be righting itself and make a deal with me

Let the negotiations begin ). I have now raised my price limit and thrown out a bunch of offers at 15% off listed price. I figure a good deal is in the middle as that is where many are priced at.

So far one dealer has come back and didn't even consider negotiating. Just said he won't accept my offer. Have car dealers forgotten how to negotiate and attempt to sell a car?

Research and a plethora of new listings from actual Porsche dealers, all with CPOs and 30k miles or less make me comfortable with finding a car in the high $60k range. Have to admit the first few responses I have gotten, the dealers were not amused. But seriously, the dealers can't expect cars that sold in 2009 for a 20% discount and are now 3+years old should be getting $75k.

Agree with what you're saying, saw it the same way....though the market now is commanding that kind of resale value compared to 2009, if only I were in the market then lol

They often play this crappy game. Sometimes they win - some other person comes in and just coughs up the cash. Wait them out. If they want to sell the car, they'll call you back. If you go back and up the price, they'll know they can work you... Stick to your guns!

Good luck!

Sounds high, I bought an 07 C4S (tip/chrono+/nav/6disc/part. leather/pwr/heat/creast seats/color caps/alc roof) with 20k mi for $53 Sept 2011 but that was on a different coast and prices have creep'd up some

Wow that sounds like a great deal! Over here on the West coast everything costs more. The car I'm looking at had an original msrp of 105k and I've known the owner/history of the car from day one. it's just so hard to guage prices though and like many have said prices seem to have crept up recently.

I sure did. I posted the outcome in this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...d-finally.html

Best purchase possible! Anyone who is going back and forth trying to justify the purchase, just do it. There is nothing better than the permagrin every day.

Here are some new shots from a fun drive today.

I agree on what others have said, it does sound a bit high but if this is the list price then it is about in the ballpark of what I was seeing. The high list prices of the 2007/2008 models are what led me to spend the extra money and get the 2009.
