I put the P O R S C H E in the chrome letters - spaced like the 991. It lasted about a week before I ordered up "Carrera 4S" again from suncoast - rattled-can'ed them black w/cherry red "4S" ... I saw this yesterday on a 991 - while I agree generally - I think painting the S red on the 991 - ... I just think this looks good... *** just realized you can't really see it that clearly - sorry ... point being: the color on black emblems w/red "S" seemed to work on this 991 - well

I agree with the simple ORIGINAL style Porsche designed for each car. I did opposing colors on mine to offset the color and give it something different. Depending on the color of the car...leaving the badge the color of the car is cool.

There are those that feel the chrome look has status. . I guess if Porsche keeps making the car too busy with crap on it...then 24" rims are coming too.

Someone will put those stupid fender things I see on the old Buick's on a PCar....watch!!

Thought there was too much..

I also thought that it looked a little cluttered on the back of my 991. Made some changes...hope you like. Please be careful removing the factory badging if you have a black or dark color paint. It will need to be buffed out to remove the outline from the original badges. Make sure they know what they are doing!

I chose just the 991 generation '911' badge.

I like the smaller badge, IMO the 997.2 '911' badge is too large. A smaller badge makes the back end appear wider.

You don't like this?

Your Grandma knows it's a porsche.
The whole world knows it's a porsche. Chrome on a 911, could it get any worse?
Simple 911 with S or 4S works great

IMHO a badge on a 911 is redundant, the world knows it's a Porsche by the shape.

Precisely,
leave the bold P O R S C H E out.
It would look much better if they do this... IMO.... VVVV. (excuse my photo-shop skill)

Looks too "ricer" for my taste.

Personally I believe that the loooong history of the Porsche body style does not require any other signage to indicate what it is. True enough that the wannabe's like the Boxters and Caymans and Panameras may distort the identity of our true Porsches but it's part of the price we pay to own these unique machines. So given that case let them try to catch up and try to fulfill their identity crisis by plastering their back end with all sorts of names, numbers and whatnot's.

It's a real shame that Porsche seems to have fallen into this fad! Then again, a very opninionated opinion but like a very wise man once said, "It is what it is!"
