Opinion? New 991 rear emblem?

What do you guys think about putting the entire "911 Carrera" emblem from the 991 on the back? Like this picture above, but not the PORSCHE.

I believe this script is smaller than the "911" that is commonly available today.

Maybe Ryan at Suncoast can enlighten us on the exact size?

Thinking the same thing.
I would be interesting to know what the size of the 997 Carrera is....Width and Height? Also the recommended width of the 991 - "911 Carrera"

991 Emblem size
Carrera = 2.0 - Height
911 = 2.5 - Height

Hello!

My '06 has the script "911 Carrera S" on it and I've toyed with the idea of just reducing it to "911" which I think is classy. On the other hand, I'm trying to leave the car in stock condition, with the exception of the exhaust, as it looks beautiful just the way it is, to my eyes.

If you are willing to change the script, you know that the shape of the "911" defines it to one and all, so the "Porsche" script on the back is redundant, I feel.

Keep looking at your car and envisioning what you want--it WILL come to you :*)

Be We..

Several identical posts on this. Search and you'll find what you seek. In short, for me it's way too much. The same lettering has been around for decades if you wanted to add it to your rear.

A simple '911' or 'PORSCHE' will do. You don't need 'PORSCHE 911 Carrera S 2WD W/ PDCC PDK' etc.

Well, I'm running the most simple example - debadged right now. We all mod to be different than the one next to us. I was just contemplating variations of the theme. The smaller "911" badge might just work for me.

But since you brought it up....

Nice, I would add that badge just to see the 'wtf' looks from people.

Saw one yesterday. My wife said, "why so much chrome all over the back of it?!". It think it's busy and overdone.

I would go with GT3RS

seriously, imo, I would go with the simplest option.

My sense in these things is that less is always more. Current 991 looks "busy" to me back there. But then again, in the parlance of today's politics maybe my positions on this subject is just "evolving"!

I agree.. it's a little too busy for my taste. I would go with either "911" or "Carrera" Love the new taillights though

Thought about it... but it just does not feel like it belongs on a 997.x

From a design standpoint, the new badging looks very forced and cluttered. I don't like it but if you do, go for it. Personally I think our cars look best with badging color matched to the paint.
