Drop Links detatched Tarett Rear Sways
I recently added Tarett adjustable rear sway bars to my 997.1.
I just noticed that both of the drop links have pulled apart. Any thoughts on what might have caused this? Is this common? I did have an on-track spin last outing.
I supposed I can screw those back down but I am not sure what will keep them from separating again.
I'm just wondering if there was something else I should have done or considered when having this upgrade installed.
The car is on stock springs with -1.5 rear camber.

Error
I think I used the wrong term in my original post. Those are not "drop links" but rather the connector to the sway bars. Sorry.
Thanks in advance if anyone can tell me why this happened and what I should do about it.

Your links just unscrewed, most likley from vibration. There is a lock nut in your first picture that is supposed to be locked down against the red threaded collar. This keeps it from spinning and becoming loose. The adjustment is there so there is no preload on the suspension from the sway bar.
I would;
1. disconnect the sway bar from the links on both sided
2. thread both sides of both links all the way in
3. with the car on a level surface reconnect one side
4. try to connect the other side, if there is any tension, un-screw untill you can connect without putting any pressure on the sway bar. You might need to adjust the other side a little.
5. once there is no tension, use the lock nut to lock in that adjustment.
6. if you are a track rat, this should be done with you sitting in the car since your weight will change the adjustment, but this is overkill for a street driven car that does not have coilovers to change corner weight.

That is actually the best possible scenario! I was worried that the bolts had pulled out by force which would have stripped the connector.
It was probably the sway bar letting go that caused my spin the other day ;-)
I really appreciate the step by step instructions on how to put it back together. That missing nut doesn't look like it should be hard to replace.
Thanks again!
