Help with Exhaust Tips

I have a 05 Carrera C2 with the oval shape tips. Can I replace them with quad round tips, or do I have to change out the exhaust?
Also was looking at this exhaust because the price is a little higher than a set of tips, and includes the quad round tips. Has anyone head about them or used it?

you can change your carrera tips to carrera s tips but you'll need this adapter from FVD. instead of getting an OBX exhaust, i would recommend saving your pennies and get a higher quality exhaust from fabspeed, awe, or the like.

My first choice is changing the tips and doing the gundo hack. As I have read the exhaust alone give very small gains if any.

I did the swap and bought a set from Nello at MaxSpeed Motor Sports (vendor here). The tips included the adapter you'll need. Nello is great to do business with!

I have these and love them. They came with everything you need to mount them. Fit great and reasonable price.

You can try FD Motorsports. He can probably sell you quad tips ceramic coated cheap. He usually does an exchange for 60.00 but your not exchanging like for like.

Don't know off hand if 07 tips work on your year. Love mine.

PS. FD also does the Gundo Hack.

I bought the Vertex stainless quads for my 05 and had them ceramic coated satin black, came out great, although they look good as is. The tips come with enough shims to fit the 05 exhuast.

Ok BAD NEWS! I ordered the Vertex tips and they did't fit my 2005 997 C2 it is a non "S". Also when I tried to loosen the bolts, the screw just broke off!!! I called them today and they want me to pay the shipping to send the tips back, and they will send me a new set. Is this common? Most online places I dealt with will send you a new set with shipping labels to send the old ones back. Customer service is not to great with Vertex Auto. Anyone have good/bad experience with Vertex Auto?

Might as well just get a full system and get some sound/performance out of it!

I recommend the AWE Tuning Exhaust system w/ Tips. Give us a call for more information!

Yes they are. The first pic is with OEM Tips. Second one is AWE Tips. The AWE Tips are very well made and really fill the bumper opening. The black chrome ones are beautiful .
