Wow, sorry to hear that. The shop will just sand the area enough to smooth it out then spray it. The paint color matching is the easy part. What make or break a good paint job now a day is how well the clear coat is applied.

I'd recommend Carwest in Santa Clara, when I have work, I go to them. Ask for Art (good guy -he runs the place). Ask for his advice, we use him for all our high quality new car work.
If you like tell him Mark recommended you.

Hey

Yeah...The Car was parked on the street in front of my house in San Ramon.....I was out for a business for 2 days and didn't bother parking the car in the garage....I really wish I would have....I'm thinking of taking the car to Brooks....While I'm at it I'll have them put on a tech art front lip and side skirts....While I'm at it I think I should get the Iforged Daytona's face Painted the gloss back to match my car and the lip polished or do you guys recommend going with a 20" Concave style rim with a hyper silver finish....Your feedback would be well appreciated and thanks for answering my questions...

San Ramon? I won't expect that. So weak. Some ****** entitled hipster in SF maybe, but San Ramon.... ???

Best of luck. Really sorry to hear about this.

I like silver rims on dark cars. I like the contrast (why I have black on my white).

He should not have settled out of court, but ensure she serves some time .. that would have a more lasting impact on her than buying her way out of it.

Hey hope your all well....The car got keyed a few weeks ago and is in the shop getting repainted....I decided to do some mods trim changes while it's in the shop....Just wanted your input...Everything has been paid for and already shipped or in the process of.....Nonetheless just want to see what board members think....

Attached are pics of the car.....The Insurance would not remove the front and rear windshield so the body shop could get in the crevices....But their doing something called "roping".......If I'm not satisfied the insurance company said I can have the car repainted again...So we shall see.....Check out the mods below:

-Front Aero Kit bumper
-Tech Art sideskirts
-Rear Vorsteiner Bumper II
-20" Ruger Mesh Rims (Powdercoated Gloss Black) with red pinstripe
-NHP Headers
-APR ECU Upgrade

I'm looking for some BlackChrome exhaust tips to replace the existing Fabspeed X-51 style (AWE, Fabspeed or Techart) So if someone want's to sell their used one's please let me know....

Roping is simply using twine/string under the rubber seals to lift it up so the paint can be sprayed under it. When buying a car I always lift up the rubber for signs of a repaint. I'm guessing you could have paid out of pocket to have the glass removed. It's better, probably. But if done well it will be fine.

I'll be keeping my AWE black chrome tips. Love the look!
