Lowered my 997 with Eibachs.

After I purchased my Ruger Mesh wheels, I felt like the wheel gap looked a bit more pronounced so I decided to bite the bullet and lower the car a bit. I am not planning on tracking my car so this was purely for looks. The car sits a little bit lower than what I expected but I love the way it looks without any wheel rub. The only thing that scrapes is the plastic diffuser on the front end. I have an aftermarket GT3 type of front bumper cover and so far after 500 miles, no issues with scraping the bumper cover.

Looks great, love your clean paint. How low did you go and what's the finish on your wheels?

Looks nice. Your right.. Seems to be a larger drop than I would have expected with eibachs, especially in the front. More like H&R level of drop. I'm curious as well how you feel handling and ride has been effected? I'm thinking about doing the same for my c4s.

Thanks for the props. The ride is just like the stock ride. There is no wheel rub at all and nothing rattles. I purchased the Eibachs instead of the HR springs fearing that the HR springs would be too low but I think that I ended up with the best of both worlds because the drop was actually much closer to the HR springs and the progressive spring rate of the Eibachs provides an OEM like feel. I purchased them directly from Tire Rack and had my local Indy Porsche service center do the install and alignment (about $550).

As far as the lower bumper diffuser, I purchased that from a company that manufactures the plastic lip and you can trim it to fit your vehicle. Kind of a pain to install, but the end result looks pretty good in my opinion and only costs about $40 and an hour to install.

The Ruger Mesh wheels are finished in the hypersilver color.

That's a great price for the installation and alignment. I wish that dealer was close to me.
