Looking for any opinions or advice on this car/deal

Hello, I am about to purchase a 2009 base carrera coupe CPO with <30k mileage with the following options. They put new front tires and just replaced the clutch.

1. PASM
2. sport chrono
3. extended Nav
4. Bose audio
5. Sport seats
6. blue tooth interface
7. floor mats
8. Universal audio
9. 19 inch Carrera S II wheels

DME report reads:

level 1: 142 ignitions @ 318.26 operating hours.

I have it at a price of 61K plus tax and license.

Can anyone give me any thoughts on the deal, and also the DME report? I would really appreciate it.

Thank you-
Jason

Good Options, I have no clue about the DME. Should be less for a Carrera base.

If it was an S or 4S then okay/acceptable price. For a base should be 5-7K less.

Hi Jason, I think that is a pretty good price. Four months ago I paid about the same amount for a 21.5k miles CPO C2. Mine had all items on your list with the addition of PDK, Sport/Paddle Steering Wheel, PSE, new rears. Mine did not come with PASM or Bose.

It's always worth trying to haggle a bit more. If they don't budge, I think the price is still something to be satisfied with. The CPO is a great thing...

As for the DME - the smart folks on this forum will tell you that the DME report as listed is no big deal, especially given the fact you have another three years to address any issue.

really? 5-7k less for a CPO? I just ran a search and there is nothing on autotrader that is a CPO for those prices. Closest ones are non cpo and asking prices are at 59K.

Anyone else think this not a good deal? Im starting to second guess myself if others think I should be looking at 5-7k less for this car.

to me that sounds like a very good deal. I can speak for the market there in CA, USA, but here in Canada (BC), you will be looking to pay over 80k for 09 C2 coupe with CPO.

You aren't going to see a low mileage CPO 997.2 for $54K. $61K is a good price.

Ahh!

I overlooked that it was CPO.

Then yeah, it is the going rate.

Thanks for those that have chimed in,

Anyone out there have any input on the DME report? I read a few threads, in how to interpret the data but to be honest.. but I dont think I fully understand.

I am assuming since there are no entries other than level 1 that the engine was not abused?

I was wondering the same thing. On the cpo inspection sheet it states technician noticed clutch was stiff and slipping. So they replaced the clutch disc pressure plate and the throw out bearing.

I bought an 08 C2S with 33K miles and it was having rear main seal replaced under warranty and dealer called and said we have transmission out and looks like clutch should be replaced.

It was stiff but did not feel slip.
But for $1K I went ahead and did the clutch since labor was already done under warranty.
Clutch is much softer now and I guess I have some peace of mind and maybe got screwed.
I have never needed a clutch change at 30K miles before...
