997 bird scoop.

While on a country road at about 55MPH I caught a bird in my front air scoop.... I pulled over within a short time figuring if it stayed in there when I hit the highway it would die... So I pulled over and when I bent down to look in the bird came flying out ... I can not believe Porsche left that area un screened. Then for the next three hours of driving I was wondering if the bird might have put a beek hole in one of my coolers .

I put some Zunsport grills on a few months ago. Easy to do and no bumper removal required.

front grill.............

I didn't have an incident with a bird, but, upon washing one time, I also noticed a vulnerability and was surprised Porsche didn't utilize a grill. I got black at Champion Motorsports and dealt with Tom P. Installation invoilved removal of front bumper but looks great!!! Here's a link...........

do the side vents on the 997.2 pop out without removing bumper....? I m trying to figure a way to screen them and removal would make it simple.

I don't believe Zunsport has a 997.2 version on the market. I asked to be notified when they are ready and haven't heard anything.
