Fister Exhaust (derived from Gundo Hack)

So I finally got the Fister Sport Exhaust from Darin Fister @ FDMotorSports.net. I drove to Brentwood, 67 miles from the bay area yesterday (Friday 6, 2012) and had him install it personally.

I recommend the exhaust!

Daughter: "Dad your car is sounding scarier!"
Wife: "Why is your car noisy?"

The best part: I was able to make calls on the bluetooth / mObridge with the windows up and sunroof closed. I was worried about it.

It is no PSE, but I am happy with it!

Here is the car ready to undergo the procedure

Here are the sounds,

Let me know if there is a better way to share the mp3s

Here is how I recorded the sounds, about 9 feet behind the car

Here are some images of the exhaust.

1) Note the round 1 3/4" curved "J" attachment versus the Gundo straight pipe
2) Note how close the weld is to the body

Here are pictures of Darin Fister's sweet 993, with blue calipers. Thought I will add them here. More at: http://www.FDMotorSports.net

I received the email notification from Darin and my exhaust are supposed to arrive next week - I can't wait to put them on.

Darin is great. those exhaust are amazing! I still don't know why people retrofit PSE with all the costs instead of this mod. I did it on my 996 and as soon as I got my 997, I ordered a set. couldn't be happier!

Probably similar to buying a Fister exhaust system and paying them to install it. I had the Fister/Gundo bypass/mod. done locally for a total price of $200. Each, grasshopper Joe, will choose the path that is best for them.

the electronic on off switch on the PSE is not worth it. the exhaust is mellow when you are not pressing the accelerator... if your car came with the PSE from the factory, awesome, if not, get the Fister or Gundo and enjoy your car...
