I tipped the driver $50. when I received my White 96TT from the east coast. I bought the car sight unseen and it was in great shape!

Over the years I've had to use car transports coming and going 10+ times. Right or wrong I never tipped them when it's only one way. I only tip upon loading the car to gain a favorable treatment, and knowing I expect to receive it in good condition on the other side when he drops it off.

I've had the good "treatment" of getting loaded on the top and in front. The downside was the car was covered with bugs as he drove all night! But I can say I have never had a bad experience with various companies transporting cars (open or closed trailers) across the country. They have all been very professional - with or without tips.

I guess I live in a city where almost every one tips for various services. If I have stuff like furniture or appliances delivered to the house I always tip. Now if its the directv guy fixing a problem I offer a soft drink or bottled water. I tip the yardwork guys once a month. I guess I'll tip a benjamin.

Had P-cars moved twice, 1 across country & 1 from NC to IL, both times tipped, can't remember amount though. Good experience both times, car had been lowered significantly and the driver had all the "tools" to deal with such cars.

+1 It was the experience and service, they got the car to me when I needed it and by the time I requested to the minute. Made my life much easier and less stress to worry about. Perfect service.
