X Post - C63 Black Series vs. RS5 vs. 911 GTS4

New to this community, what a cool place. In the next 30 days, I plan to purchase a new daily driver.

Use - semi daily driver, dont really have a regular office commute, so wont slug it out in daily traffic, or long commutes, but does need to be usable as an only car.
Condition - new, not used (I have my reasons)
Price - $100k -/+, not much more
Size - need at least small back seat for small kids, more room better, but not mandatory...i.e. the 911 is technically big enough back there
Requirements - needs to be fun, unique, sporty, wont get tired of it, looks good, fun behind the wheel, etc.

I have owned BMWs, Audis, Porsches in the past. The candidates:

C63 AMG Black Series - was able to snag an allocation based on a relationship I have, deposit down, base car, not a lot of track options, etc. more the "subtle" spec version of this car if there is such a thing. Worried about still is it too raw for daily. ~ $105k with my discount.

RS5 - able to purchase locally or nationally, several available. Worried about the bored factor. Had an RS4, was a cool car, but eventually felt a bit boring. This might be different given body style, DSG, etc. ~ $80k

911 GTS 4 - I know, sacrilege to some to drive a AWD 911, but as a daily driver I just think that this is a very usable package, albeit the smallest and least practical, most expensive of the bunch. Several available at deep discounts nationally, puts it tied with the Black for price, ~$105k

Not worried about gas mileage. Given these three options, which would you pick and why? And no, this isnt my only input on decision, I am just curious where people would lean and why. thanks!

Very Very difficult choice. They are actually very different cars. Different engine layout/propulsion systems.
All of them are top notch cars.
I think it will boil down to personal preference.
However the C63 will hold value best due to the rarity, but will also have smallest resale market.

RS5 was going for $20k above MSRP when I checked one out two weeks ago. You'll spend close to the same $100k to get into that car. For $80k though - it's the best all around option given kids/cost/fun. But since my kids are older, I don't face your dilemma (as if you can call it a dilemma!), but with stupid amounts of power, it's a hard car to ignore the RS5. Run for the hills on an AMG. The GTS will be a great car.

I dont mean to be insensitive, but I feel really bad for anyone that paid $20k above MSRP for an RS5.

There are two at my local dealer, both at sticker or less. Probably about 10 on dealer lots nationally right now, all available. Its a 2-year run car and they build plenty of them. I owned an RS4 and it was same thing, lots of hype about exclusivity. For sure, there are less of the RS cars than others, but I would never ever pay over sticker for an Audi. A GT3 RS 4.0 or something like that, maybe. The number on the Audi is $80k tops. Its just a bit more of a sleeper than the other two, I worry not as exciting. I drove it. The gearbox is awesome, and of course its not slow, but it is a different, high revving experience. No torque down low.

Say more about the AMG run for the hills comment. And sounds like you would be picking between the RS5 and the GTS4. Which would you pick?

thanks!

I haven't driven an RS5 but I have driven a few S5's, both the v8 and the v6t versions. All I can say is neither of them even come close to the excitement you get when driving a Porsche. I found my M6 way more fun to drive and just generally sportier than the s5 and my M6 doesn't even stack up next to my GTS. I pick the GTS all day but I'm bias. I have no experience with the C63 Black but I would choose between that and the GTS if your worried about getting bored.

No offense taken. I'm just reporting what I saw here in LA two weeks ago. I wouldn't pay over MSRP for an Audi either. I was considering the TTRS (and S5) when they first landed here last year because I was concerned about repair costs of Porsches. I have no doubt opting to go the P car route (with a CPO) was the right one (for me), but as I said, I'd have considered a different car if carrying kids and associated junk on a regular basis was a requirement.
