Bored of Your Porsche 997 Carrera Power?

Would you mind telling us your take on the VF-Engineering SC vs the TPC Turbo? How do the installation hours compare? Any info is appreciated. I haven't really seen a head-to-head comparison of these two. All I know is the TPC torque number is way bigger and maybe that is all I need to know.

Some of this information is my opinion and tests only, so I would rather discuss in private to explain the differences in tuning, fitment, etc. However here is some information to compare... These are real world numbers. Not race gas, not RWD only, not tweaked numbers. So you can see independent tests we did.
This is a Porsche 996 3.6L TPC Turbo car we did here at Vivid Racing on 91octane - Read Article
This is the Turbo Kit we designed as tested on a 996 3.6L. Same dyno, pump gas, etc - View Here.
Seperately, here is the VF Engineering dyno from them as I/We have not dynoed it here -
If you are analyzing the curve of the centrifugal Vortech supercharger, you could compare the above Porsche 3.6 graph to what my V8 E90 M3 did on our dyno -

Just to exemplify the wide range of variation due to dynos, dyno conditions and individual cars, here are 2 additional dynos of 2 different VF475 supercharged 997's

Hey guys, Install is 14-16 hours only.
100% bolt-on, no mods or fabs required.

11 sec quarter mile seems a little far fetched to me and I had the kit.
My quess would be in the 12.x range.
Where did you come by this number?
Actual ET or wag like the 25-30 hour install quote.
My install took about 15 hours.

6psi of boost taking you to an 11sec 1/4 mile

I spoke with Vivid regarding the VF Kit mating up with IPD Plenum. According to VF and Vivid, they do not recommend using the IPD plenum with the S/C kit. Unclear as to why this is, as I could not get a straight answer. Regardless, Justatoy and another member here had the IPD plenum installed with their VF Kit and one noted decreased HP productions ~ 20 HP and the other one noted misfirings. Mind you, they both had a "Justatoy" modified and improved S/C flowing more air and fuel. I currently have the IPD Plenum, not the 82mm one that you're thinking of. Honestly, I can't tell if there were any differences between it and the stock Plenum. No fault codes were noted either, and I'm running a slightly smaller pulley 3.6" vs 3.8".

Yes, but you would need to have VF-Engineering do it, or find some one in Hawaii who is very knowledgeable about Porsche Tuning to be able to do it.
