Laser Jammer/Radar Detector

Looking for the best Laser Jammer & Radar Detector, whether a stand alone system or combo, I only want to do this once. Recommendations?

V1 is great, minus the false alarms which I don't even want to debate - but it is not a radar jammer. I would like a Jammer & a Detector, either seperate units or integrated, whichever is best.

K40
Radar inside the Front and Rear Bumper.
Laser Diffuser on the Front Tag.
2 Small Blue LED's above the steering wheel on the Dash.
Remote on the Visor.
Had a Local Audio Car Shop install.
They deal with many high end cars, and I told them I wanted the Best system. The Shop owner had the same K40 in his car.
Drove from Baltimore to New Orleans, then on to Los Angeles in January.
GOLDEN!!!

I believe that radar jammers are illegal in all states. Laser jammers are not (do to FCC regulations).

LI & V1 is the best way to go. Search and you will see LI is the king of the jammers. Don't beleive anything else unless you see real world test results!!! K40 and Escort jammers are a joke. Don't beleive me just look at real world test. Don't listen to the people selling you the units. Ask your installer how do they test them? Which LIDAR gun do they own to test with? O you don't have any??? O you have never had one of your installs tested??? Again, go off real world test.

Drove across the USA and have driven 15k miles in 11 months.
K40 all the way.
I just know it works, and the Laser Warning has gone off 4 times and saved me, and No tickets, not even pulled over. Don't know how much more real world I can get.

So, you saw the officer target your car? You were going over PSL? You slowed down to PSL and the officer was none the wiser?
I find that very hard to believe with a K40 system. I have first hand witness them in testing and they were a joke.

+1. I have the same system. 18 months and 12k miles later no tickets. And I dive it like I stole it.

Awesome advice - never thought to ask how they test the install. Is it realistic for them to have a radar gun? How do I know which LIDAR gun is acceptable to use - any?

If a good shop doesn't have a gun then they should know someone or a group that does. Here in Houston we have a group that meets twice a year to test. It is NOT a public meet. You have to be invited and locations change. Last time I went out we have 5 different LIDAR guns to test with. Even LI systems that were not mount correctly got punch thoughs at long distances. K40 and Escort got OWNED EVERY time. Even aiming the guns where the head(s) were place got punch through. Nice thing about LI is that you can update the software. So, as new guns come out the can be program to jam those. IIRC Blinder just came out with a new set up that has been testing pretty good. I don't have any first hand knowledge of that set up yet.
Just do you home work. The reason K40 and the Escort systems are installed by the audio shops and dealer is MARKUP. They are making close to 50% on the unit and then what ever they charge for the install.
