I have had similar issues with the custom wheels I ordered through one of their "associates" here on this board. They are sketchy to say the least.

Vorsteiner and Vivid Racing

JAM 996....I'm going to file a Small Claims case against both of them for $5k when I get back in town and disputing the charge with my Credit Card Company on the basis that the Merhandise sold was not as Described....

The guy at VIVID has been telling me that he is waiting of Vorsteiner's reply....It's going on 6 weeks....I call it BS...I'm pretty agitated....I bought a bunch of stuff from VIVID in the past....I guess this is how they treat their customers....Thank god I'm not going to get any of the stuff for my wife's S6 from there....

Yeah and seriously F**K you Vorsteiner for selling overpriced ebay quality S*&T.....Previous to that I read some dude JLEVI's review on Vorsteiner about how there such a good company with excellent customer service.....I think he probably was one of their employee's...Vorsteiner can't event stand behind their own products....

That's very surprising to hear, sorry about your bad experience. I've seen the full VRT Vorsteiner Turbo in person, and the fitment was perfect.

Could it be that there was a defect on this bumper? Vorsteiner generally stands behind their products, and would issue us a new item if the previous one had a fitment issue.

Sorry to hear about the issue you are having and I truly hope it get's resolved soon. I know you must be quite upset and I would be too in your situation. Just some advice though, if you plan on resolving this matter soon IMO it would be a good idea not too use the tone that you have thus far. It most likely will not help in the long run. Hope things get remedied for you ASAP.

Still would like to see the bad fit pictures on this. Not questioning your statements, just want to see how bad and make sure I don't go down the same road. Need pics.

azqureshi,
Not really sure why we are being bashed here.

Vorsteiner shipped the correct part for this customers 07 C2S. On the Vorsteiner box it says please test fit before painting/installing. Either way we are still working with Vorsteiner to get this solved.

Honestly I understand this is frustrating but we are doing everything in our power to help resolve this. I would suggest calling us when you get a chance and we can actually get you a solution.

I spoke to Vivid Yesterday and this is their resolution....I have a few days to think about it and as of now it doesn't seem economical....Open to any suggestions...FYI I'm paying for all the labor with this ordeal

-Remove old Vorsteiner bumper (Additional Labor Cost + the 1.2k I'm already down for the prep and paint on this bumper)
-Place Factory Bumper back on (Additional Labor Cost)
-Vorsteiner picks up bumper from shop
-I have to wait until the test and check the old bumper
-Once I receive the new bumper, remove the factory bumper and get the new bumper Prepped and Painted again...(Additional Labor Cost + Prep, Paint for new Bumper)

All in all these are the rough figures

Vorstieiner bumper (Cost includes tax and shipping) $3.5k
Paint and Prep for 1st Vorsteiner Bumper $1.3k
Labor associated with swapping bumpers & Paint & Prep for New Vorsteiner Bumper $1.7k

Total = $6.5K

Do you all have any feedback....

With all due respect, why would Vorsteiner (are you suggesting?) have to cover your labor and paint since you didn't test fitment? It's clearly marked that you should. I understood your argument that for the premium you paid for this item you shouldn't have to test, but they warn against not doing so for a reason. Sometimes fitment issues arise, although it's always a PIA to deal with an a disappointment to have to return something. At the end of the day you and/or your shop didn't follow directions.

With regard to the offer, I think it's a good one. I don't know why the shop would charge much for labor since removal of the bumper is quick and easy and doable within 10 to 15 minutes.

Good luck either way.

This is what happens when you buy parts from a company that specializes in m3 cars. Get it done right with techart or the oem aerokit or a spoiler from any other well known porsche tuner.

I've installed two factory aero kits, one a 996 and the other a 997, and never had an issue. Both times the shop commented on how well they fit and how little prep they took. I saw an aftermarket kit going on a car in the same shop and it did not fit. The tech stopped and called the owner. He would not go forward without the owner coming to the shop to see the issue. That's the way it should be done.

I am going to have to agree with Alan C. Whoever you are using to paint the bumper should never have painted it until the did a test fitment. In fact I never heard of a reputable paint and body shop not test fitting any part before they paint it.

Cut your losses now. Find a good body shop and see if they can mold this bumper to your car properly. It will be cheaper option.
