My detailer uses c-quartz. He really likes it. After you do it you don't have to wax the car for up to two years, but he just recently started using it so I guess we'll see in time how well it holds up.

good Q... what IS it zaktly? a polish, a sealer, i don't think it is a wax, and is that opti-coat stuff a nano product as well or something completely different...

hmmmmmmm, i have been led to believe it is some kind of super sealant that needs no wax after, just water and microfiber...but that is just one i think, uneducated babble/guess about what it is,

I've seen the opti-coat done. It is very shiny for a while, but I'm pretty skeptical about the benefit. It was not my car, but my buddy had it done to his. It "Lasted" about a year, but that is tough to really gauge. For the price you can get a bunch of bottles of REALLY nice wax and just keep up with that.

The price I saw in the mid Atlantic US area for the opti-coat was $400-$600 I believe; but I'm not 100% on that. I recall it not making it past my "worth–it" filter vs lots of good wax. I don't keep a show car so my price tolerance for these things is pretty low. Show car guys would disagree I'm sure.
