agree, steve those wheels look great specially on the sports classic!! however, since im going to spend on wheels might as well get some weight advantage. Those sports classic black fuchs style wheels are heavy.

ad3998 is infamous around these parts
Great set up. I like the HRE wheels and prefer it without the pinstripe.

I agree with wheel weight overall, but on a road car you'll never feel the difference primarily because the tire is still quite heavy and it negates the overall weight savings from wheels only. On a motorcycle, I can feel the weight differences between cast aluminum, forged aluminum, magnesium or carbon fiber.

Since I don't earn my living through my car, I'm less interested in trying to shave a fraction of a second in performance. Especially because I never see a man waiving a checkered flag anywhere I travel.

to some aesthetics come ahead, to some a compromise between aesthetics and performance, to some performance only,, in the end "whatever waves your flag" we go for it. the mind has a way of making us happy...i felt the performance gain, not in the few seconds but the way everything feels after. but still, those black fuchs style wheels are awesome on a 997 as shown by the sports classic and if i had access to a set as light or even lighter than my hre's i would have jumped on them.
steve, on a separate note, our cars are similar, how did the x pipe affect performance? thinking of the same mod but again would rather have a performance gain to come with the awesome sound..fearing loss of low end torque.

If you want performance gain, the better option is the secondary mufflers, and/or headers. No loss of power in changing out the primary muffler, but it's mainly for sound. The sound is not deep and throaty like PSE. To do it all again, I would probably change the secondary mufflers, non-adjustable, and again Cargraphic. Lifetime warranty and very high quality. I think I would have paid roughly 50% more.

Paint their house purple? This comment way right over my head. I'm German, didn't realize Filipinos did such things.

Regardless, I like the PS!

Guten tag mbenzf1. These are Comments that are totally off line and uneccessary in a forum like this. Its like i can say the person who made this comment is known to wears briefs in the morning and panties at night. True or not totally unrelated and inappropriate to the thread.....i just consider as uneducated guesses from people who pretend to be otherwise.

To my eye a red pinstripe, the same color as your brakes, would look better on the black wheels but, as you say, " whatever waves your flag " .

Dadio, maybe your eye is better. I actually ordered red pinstripes too to try them on. Will be posting pics of updates to the car this weekend. Done a few mods..evolution of the modern look.
