Where does the wire going into the trunk terminate? My guess is at some power source wire. Those antennas look like a pretty long range device and the size /weight you mention show very densely packed high grade interior components. We'd love to see what the device looks like unwrapped. Do tell, We love a good mystery. Someone was or is very interested in where this car is located.

That looks like a stick of C-4 wrapped in tape, and the wires might be connected to a blasting cap, but don't let me get you paranoid or anything.
