2005 997 S Fully Loaded 39k miles Price Check!
not a big fan of the price check threads...but here we go.
Never mind car got SOLD before i could get a PPi, not meant to be...moving on!
I found a 2005 997 S (no warranty) fully loaded, pretty much exact options i'm looking for, with full leather, nav, ceramic brakes, chrono pkg-Bose, has less than than 40k (i was trying to go with 2006 & up but i dont mind doing clutch + IMS on a 2005 if price is right) other than that its all stock. (only option it seems not to have is Porsche sports exhaust)
The car has all the options i'm looking for- Of course i'm going to do a PPI & all that first before making a move...its in another state to begin with but not too far.
Asking price is 39k i think i can get around 37500 or 38000
Any thoughts? I 've found a Certified 2006 S also loaded but no chrono pkg but has high milage compared to others 55k miles, seller wants $46k i feel thats a bit high for those miles compared to the rest of the market...

Launch edition comes with full leather and adaptive power seats. And no PSE. You don't want PSE because it adds weight. But so does the adaptive seats and sunroof you are on target with price. The '06 should be the same price. Prices assume private party. I don't consider CPO a price premium nor should you do IMS upgrade. I also figure $3K between model years all things being equal, but not including body style changes (997.1, 997.2, 991). I. Bought the first production run 997 and it was manufactured in 2004. 60K miles and running great. Had to replace water pump at 45K miles, but that is normal for these cars. I bought with no warranty with 40K miles. Just do it.

997.1 Launch cars had every conceivable option at the time. They were built in mid 2004 (mine was built in August) and were delivered to dealers for showroom duty. A great many dealers couldn't help but sell them right off the floor in spite of PCNA telling not to. I've had mine for over 5 years now. I'm probably not too objective but I think $39K is a great price if the car has been maintained. I wouldn't sell mine at that price.
Make sure the PCCB's are in good shape. Especially the rotors. Pads are relatively inexpensive but rotors are big bucks.
How many miles?.
Good Luck . . . . .

launch car: get it! I missed I launch car when I bought my 2005... the car was in Texas... I just helped my friend get a black 2008 for 46k... it had 29,000 miles.

We shall see...my buyer for my car flew into AZ from Cali today & meeting at bank tomorrow- deal is not a deal till its done..so if all goes well tomorrow then i'll be aggressively after a 997...if not, then i'll slap the prior design rear bumper on my baby & just drive her!

Data point. 60K miles and mix of hwy and stop and go. PCCBs show virtually NO wear. Original pads are 90% / 95% (F/R). I expect them to last for a loooong time. I don't track the car however. If I need a new rotor, then I would go steel all the way around. One problem I had was trying to find a tire shop that I trusted. No matter how many times you tell the manager to make sure the service personnel do NOT drop the back side of the rim on the rotors when they remove the wheel, they never listen. No brake dust.
