depreciation? coming from the guy who had his 2005 S for sale at $53,000, i thought mine since CPO and less miles would be worth about $60,0000 lol...

My C2S (with about the same mileage as yours) was pristine, and brought me $51,750, not bad considering I bought the car for 50 grand around 2 years ago. My 07 911 Turbo I purchased for $84,XXX and sold two years later for $92,000. Pretty decent "depreciation". I notice you have yet to post your price paid, I am certain they gave you a discount considering those silly looking wheels, but hey you have one year of warranty (congrats). Best of luck with your continued build of a GT3 tribute car. Post pics once you get the turbo side vents installed

I dont post what i paid for cars, but it sure as hell was no where near the $53,000 silly price you were asking for yours.
$51,750..looooool...sure you go that...now go see the difference between trade in & price paid for your car and you will maybe understand what you really got for your "pristine" 2005 S, i've worked finance at dealerships as a college intern back in the day and know exactl how that works & how suckers never know!

i dont have anything to do with a Gt3, not sure what your talking about, didn't know C2's that come with the Aero kits are wanna be GT3s, thats new info to me, we should inform porsche about that.....you sound like you have some self esteem issues, should go see Dr Phil regarding that.

And yes, your lust for a GT3 inspired aero kit makes you seem like a GT3 wannabe, but by all means, continue to gild the lily.

Joe do you think the GT3 997.2 wing may look off balance with the stock rear bumper? i'm starting to have second thoughts now...
#71
I don't think so... to make your original rear bumper more aggressive, just get a rear diffuser.

I think the aerokit combination on these cars look fantastic. Despite your mix and matching of components please be sure to keep all of your factory pieces.
The 2005 997S Launch is a great car and will carry much more resale value for you in original form versus a molested version.

Numbers are 47k trade in plus tax benefit of 8.9% in my area brings me up to that number. 11,780 off MSRP of the BMW 550i negotiated before the dealership knew I had a potential trade. The lowest buy bid on my car was 45k. I captured my own financing, so no added points on the remaining balance after trade. How much did you pay?

What difference does it make to you? He's obviously enjoying playing with the car and I'm certain that he got a very good deal on the car considering the low miles it being CPO and being a launch edition with all the options.
I also think that the areokit/GT bumper look GREAT even without a wing.
