clutch adjustment...?

i am thinking it is me, but it is also the clutch on this car, i have had trouble shifting smoothly since i got it...seems that the clutch catches in too short a distance of pedal throw...it is hard to smoothly shift 1-2,2-3 and 3-4 mostly and sometimes from a stop...it doesn't slip, which would actually make shifts smoother, but we don't want them smoother that way, and it catches in the middle of pedal range. i have been driving sticks since i was 6, like over 50 years, so i know how, and my previous 997 was fine...anyone else have this, and is there an adjustment to change any of the variables? thanks, kk

is x-51 clutch diifferent? also, i have had more than usual embarrassing stalls from deadstops...and i don't like to start with higher revs,or i will be replacing the clutch sooner rather than...i hope there is something going on that can be rectified without replacing clutch...again, thanks

umbball is infamous around these parts
I've been having the same problem with my 2009 C2S. Took it to the dealer, who told me that this was "normal" for the 911.
Not buying it, but not sure what to do from here...

try slowing your clutch pedal work down just a little bit(let it out a bit slower on all shifts). I noticed the same thing at first and then got it down after doing what I said above. I, like you, have been driving a clutch my whole life and don t know what the difference on the 911 is.

Isn't that a good thing that it doesn't slip? This clutch is not to be driven like a Japanese car? I think you need to minimize slipping of the clutch to negligible.
It's just some practice and getting used to the release points.
