No worries unless maybe you live in Death Valley.

I live in Miami and is currently very hot. My car never goes over 215, and that includes bumper to bumper traffic. As a matter of fact, it takes a while for the oil temperature to get hot. I wouldn't worry unless you track the car.

99% for track use. stock is fine for the street. (and altho i have yet to test on the track, almost all posts i've seen say that it makes no diff on street. i have not noticed diff on street either and i'm thinking that the few who think theyve noticed a diff are merely seeing normal activity.)

Thanks for the great price on the radiator kit.

I just finished the Gundo (did the welding myself). Next project is the unknown.

I still have the '75 I am rebuilding so perhaps the 997 would need to remain as is --- famous last words, right!

Actually, before the 3rd radiator, my car's fan would come on after shutdown. Nowadays, even at higher ambient temps, the fan seems to not kick in. I say this year, it turned on once; before, maybe 10+ times.

Coming from the air-cooled Porsches, I'm a strong supporter of keeping the engine AND oil as cool as possible.

I put in a 3rd radiator AND a 160degree thermostat...definitely runs cooler overall by at least 25 degrees(if you believe the dash gauge)....from all I've read including comments from the LN guys this is the way to go to help max longevity of your engine....along with reg oil changes and maintenance of course...

Can't tell from your pics whether or not you have grills installed, but if not, they are certainly worth considering both for appearance as well as function (radiator protection). Zunsport makes a great set, and they are simple to install. Run about $300 if I recall correctly. I also think there is a discount code on this forum somewhere to use when ordering.

What? Grills? And miss the opportunity of vacuuming the cigarette butts, leaves, paper, etc.!!!!!

Joke!!!

The grill and thermostat might be next. Perhaps after my 60k tuneup.
